Toy collector decorates for Christmas in Roanoke

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) – A lifelong toy collector is inviting you to enjoy his display in the City of Roanoke.

Eighty-three-year-old Duane Howard was unable to find help in putting up Christmas lights, so he decided to display toys while keeping the theme of Christmas.

Howard went to a thrift store in search of red toys to line his yard with.

“Well, I was thinking about the children. Whatever, the kids walking up, or even grown-ups walking up and down the street, they kinda be taken back by the toys in the yard and everything, and hopefully if a child sees one that sparks a memory, or even an adult it could spark a memory, then that’s kind of the Christmas season.” – Duane Howard, Collector

To see the toys residents can go to 6th Street in Roanoke.
