LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) – On November 28, the City of Lynchburg is hosting its 36th annual Lynchburg Turkey Trot.
The Turkey Trot is set for Thursday at 8:00 a.m. The event will start and finish on Langhorne Road in front of E.C. Glass High School.
Registration for the trot in person ends on November 27, at 6:00 p.m. In-person adult tickets for the 5k are $42.50 and youth in-person tickets are $18.50.
If you are interested in the virtual race, registration ends December 1 at 11:59 p.m. Prices are the same for the in-person race.
Every registration feeds two families a Thanksgiving meal and HumanKind is still working to aid families in getting back on their feet.
Whether you participate online or in person, you can choose if you are walking or running the course. If you are online you can use the race app, RaceJoy, to keep track and submit your results, which will be on the virtual leaderboard. To download the app click here.
If you register before the deadline, you can receive your packet through a pick-up before the race on Wednesday, November 27 from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at HumanKind Campus, 1903 HumanKind Way, Lynchburg, VA 24503. Entrance from VES Road ONLY.
