ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) – The Roanoke Star is celebrating its 75th anniversary and invites residents to celebrate.
The Roanoke Star will celebrate the 75th anniversary of the lighting on Saturday, November 23 at 10 a.m. at the observation deck in front of the Mill Mountain (Roanoke) Star.
In case of inclement weather, the backup location for the celebration will be the Discovery Center.
Mayor Lea and former Mayor Nelson Harris will give brief speeches, followed by star-themed crafts, photo opportunities, and limited giveaways.
