GALAX, Va. (WFXR) – The Galax Fire Department responded to a single-vehicle accident near the 1900 block of Pipers Gap Road on Thursday, January 23.
Around 6:43 a.m., crews arrived on the scene and found a vehicle that had gone off the left side of the roadway and struck a tree.

The occupant was flown to Baptist Hospital with severe injuries.
