House fire in Roanoke displaces family, 4 cats rescued


ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) – Roanoke Fire and EMS responded to a structure fire in the 4800 block of Delray Street NW.

Crews responded around 10:18 p.m. and upon arrival saw flames coming from the side of the residence, upgrading the fire to a working fire.

Crews on C-Shift went to work to extinguish the flames while also searching the residence.

Four cats were located, rescued, and treated on the scene.

The fire was extinguished around 11:06 p.m.

There are no injuries reported.

The incident remains under investigation and the residents are displaced from the home.
