The Rescue Mission prepares to feed 500+ on Thanksgiving Day



ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) – The Rescue Mission of Roanoke is preparing for the annual Thanksgiving Feast they will host for the community.

On Thursday, November 28, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. the Thanksgiving meal will be served at 402 Fourth Street SE in Roanoke, Va.

The Rescue Mission is preparing for more than 500 guests on Thanksgiving for those who are unsheltered, in need of food, and those who wish to be with others.

They are offering dine-in meals or curbside pickup for people on the go.

The Rescue Mission is also hosting the 19th annual Drumstick Dash on Thanksgiving, Thursday, November 28, and accepting donations. You can help provide a meal for a hungry child, health care for someone who has no options, support of sobriety for an addict, job training for the unemployed, food for families on the verge of being homeless, tutoring for women studying for their GED, and more.
