SALEM, Va. (WFXR) – Roadwork will begin in Salem on Wednesday, December 18, according to the city.
There are some things you’ll want to keep in mind when traveling through the Championship City:
– Water and Sewer line work is happening on Kimball between Mt, Regis and Pyrtle.
– Curb removal and replacement work is taking place in two areas;
- East Burwell between Park and Thompson Memorial
- Richfield between E. Calhoun and Virginia
– Work also continues to evolve on East Main Street in the Downtown Corridor with sidewalk replacement, said city officials. Several detours are in place.
– The Colorado Street bridge is now in phase two. Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction. Please slow down in all work zones, be aware of new traffic patterns, and check road closings daily at this link.
