Old Pulaski County elementary school being remade into affordable housing


PULASKI COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) – Pulaski County broke ground to turn an old elementary school into new affordable housing on January 29.

The former Claremont Elementary School will be tuned into 50 apartments. Rent for the housing is expected to range from $600 a month to $950.

Units will be one bedroom to three bedrooms apartments.

The facility is expected to house families and those in the workforce.
