ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — Animal shelters across southwest and central Virginia are full of adoptable pets. WFXR News highlights these adorable adoptables in our weekly “Furry Friends” segment.
On Tuesday, December 10, Julie Rickmond with the Roanoke Valley SPCA brought Eleanor to Furry Friends.

Eleanor is a friendly three-year-old tortoiseshell cat. It’s hard for her to stay still because she loves being affectionate with people. She enjoys being petted, receiving belly rubs, and making biscuits! Eleanor also does well around other cats.
This kitty does have kidney disease and no teeth, but that doesn’t get her down! She’s not on any medication, but her owner would need to make sure she’s eating properly.
Eleanor came from an extremely overcrowded situation. She would love to find a safe forever home where she can get plenty of care and attention. Overall, she would make a great snuggle buddy.
