Danville man charged with sexual exploitation of minor in Myrtle Beach

NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) – A Danville man is facing charges after allegedly distributing child sexual abuse material in North Myrtle Beach, according to police records obtained by WFXR News sister station, News13.

Chadwick Joel Branch, 55, of Danville, was charged with two counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor. He was booked into the J. Reuben Long Detention Center on Tuesday and released the same day on a $5,000 bond.

Branch in July allegedly transmitted or distributed two videos depicting minors engaging in sexual acts, arrest warrants show. Police found the videos on his phone, which were transmitted while he was staying at an address on S. Ocean Boulevard.

He was arrested in late January at Chicago’s O’hare airport when agents searched his phone and found “voluminous” amounts of child sexual assault material, according to a police report.
