90-year-old Lynchburg man killed during crash on Moreview Drive identified by LPD



UPDATE 2/5 5:43 P.M. LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) – Lynchburg Police have identified the man killed during the single-vehicle accident that occurred on Moreview Drive on Monday, January 27.

90-year-old Herman Joseph Hamilton died at the hospital on Tuesday, January 28 from injuries received in the crash.

Mr. Hamilton was the passenger of a vehicle that hit a tree after going off the road while traveling on Moreview Dr.

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) – The Lynchburg Police Department and the Lynchburg Fire Department responded to a single-vehicle crash on Monday.

On January 27 around 10:01 a.m., crews responded to the 1000 block of Moreview Drive to find a vehicle that ran off the road and struck a tree.

The driver and the passenger were taken to Lynchburg General Hospital for their injuries.

The 90-year-old passenger and Lynchburg resident died due to his injuries on January 28.
