Fire in Roanoke displaces one person


ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR)—Roanoke Fire and EMS responded to a structure in the 2900 block of Clifton Street Northwest early Friday, January 3.

Around 2:08 a.m. Engine 5 arrived on the scene and found smoke showing from the residence.

Crews began to work on the fire and fully extinguished the flames around 2:24 a.m.

One person has been displaced, and no injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
