Fire in Campbell County leaves on firefighter treated by EMS


CAMPBELL COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) – A firefighter with the department in Forest was injured on the job Friday morning.

Shortly before 5:30 on December 27, Engine 51 responded to Brookville Timberlake on Waterlick Road.

Crews found heavy smoke coming from the structure. They worked for several hours before the fire was fully extinguished. One firefighter was injured and treated by EMS at the scene.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation by Campbell Co Public Safety.
