ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) – The City of Roanoke is advising residents that the Bagged Leaf Collection is ending soon.
The collection will end on Thursday, December 19 so residents should place their leaves in biodegradable bags to be sent to the landfill.
The collection will be transported on Old Mountain Road and in agreement with Rockydale Quarries, the leaves will break down to create topsoil.
The City will NOT collect plastic bags or loose leaves.
