ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) – Sometime in 1982, Roanoke Elementary student Tracy Drain lost her lunchbox, only for it to be found 40 years later.
A plumber was working at Fairview Elementary School when he found the “Heathcliff” metal lunchbox, made in 1982, behind a wall that was in between the girl’s and boys’ bathrooms.
In the lunchbox was a thermos along with the teacher and students name who it belonged to. The Director of Communications at Roanoke City Schools then created a post on social media and received a response from its possible owner.
The school is now hoping to reunite the long-lost lunchbox with its owner.
