Water main break in Lynchburg causes temporary road closure



LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) – A temporary road closure will occur to assist Lynchburg Water Resources crews while they work on a water main break in the 3800 block of Boonsboro Road.

The road will be temporarily closed between Link Road and Somerset Drive and a detour will be put in place for motorists. Drivers should use caution while traveling in the area.

Customers who experience discolored water or air in their pipes should run water in the bathtub for three to five minutes until the water becomes clear. If the water remains discolored after five minutes, residents are advised to contact Lynchburg Water Resources at 434-455-4250.
