CAMPBELL COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) – The Campbell County Sheriff’s Office responded to a shooting incident on November 24.
Around 7:37 p.m. on Sunday, the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office responded to an incident on Crowell Lane for an individual with a gunshot wound. Officers arrived on the scene and found a victim shot in the chest, according to the sheriff.
After investigation, 27-year-old Jaylen D. Easley of Lynchburg was identified as the alleged shooter and taken into custody.
Easley was transported to the Blue Ridge Regional Jail in Rustburg.
Malicious Wounding warrants were obtained and Easley is being held without bond.
The 44-year-old victim is currently in stable condition at the Lynchburg Emergency Department.
