UPDATE 11/26 3:04 P.M. LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) – Lynchburg Police have released new details regarding the train accident that injured three people on the night of November 25.
According to LPD, one man was hit by the train, and one woman was treated for a leg injury after attempting to avoid the train.
A third person involved was not injured.
Police said the condition of the man who was hit is currently unknown.
“We remind our community that all forms of trespassing on train tracks, such as playing, walking, hiking, running, etc., are dangerous and illegal.” The Lynchburg Police Department

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) – One person was hit by a train, and two other people were hurt during the incident in Lynchburg, according to Lynchburg Police.
All three people hurt were taken to Lynchburg General Hospital.
There is no update on their conditions tonight.
Police believe one person was hit by the train, but they say it is unclear whether the other two were also hit, or if they were injured while trying to avoid the train.
