Three children kidnapped from bus stop in Augusta County


AUGUSTA COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) – The Augusta County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the kidnapping of three children from a bus stop in Fishersville on the morning of December 5.

The sheriff said a call stating a kidnapping had just occurred at the Bobby’s Way Apartment complex was received around 8:27 a.m. on Thursday.

The children were last seen at around 7:40 a.m. when they left for the bus. The caller told the sheriff that a black 4-door vehicle allegedly pulled up to the bus stop and took them.

The three children are 10-year-old Jai’Marcus Lewis, 8-year-old Ja’Miyah Lewis, 6-year-old Ja’Liyah Lewis.  

The two female children were last seen wearing pink jackets, and the male child was last seen wearing a black and dark blue jacket with neon zippers.

The investigation is ongoing. If you know the whereabouts of the children or have seen a black vehicle in this vicinity picking up three children this morning, please call the Augusta County Sheriff’s Office at 540-245-5333.
