The Pittsylvania-Danville and Southside Health Districts welcome new FNP



DANVILLE, Va. (WFXR) – The Pittsylvania-Danville and Southside Health Districts have announced a new addition to their medical team.

Halifax County native, Charlotte Solomon joined the team as a Family Nurse Practitioner and will serve the community by providing family planning services, women’s health preventative screenings, and testing for sexually transmitted infections (STIs).

“Southside Virginia is my home and it’s a privilege to serve my community,” said Solomon.

“Charlotte is an excellent clinician and I am confident that our clients will quickly develop a trusting relationship with her based on her professionalism and expertise,” said Scott J. Spillmann, MD, MPH, director, Pittsylvania-Danville and Southside Health Districts.

Charlotte will also provide educational presentation on topics including sexual health throughout the community.

“We are so glad to have her join our health care team,” said Julia Gwaltney, senior nurse manager for Pittsylvania-Danville and Southside Health Districts. “She’s compassionate, caring, and always shares a welcoming smile with everyone she serves.”

Charlotte will also organize clinics in Danville, Pittsylvania, Halifax, and Mecklenburg counties. She will see insured and uninsured clients to provide services to those without insurance and is currently accepting new patients.
