The Greater Lynchburg Transit Company runs fare-free rides

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) – The Greater Lynchburg Transit Company will be running fare-free services through Wednesday, January 22 due to colder weather.

Fare-free rides will run from 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. to ensure people protect themselves against winter temperatures.

“We have long gated times where it is below freezing or it is really hot outside we have fare-free services. This ensures the public makes it to shelters and different resources throughout the community,” said Chris Poindexter, Marketing Director with the Greater Lynchburg Transit Company.
