ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) – Total Action for Progress (TAP) announced on Thursday, January 23, that they are honoring the past, and present, and building the future with the return of its Black History Celebration.
TAP is pleased to welcome the community at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, February 11 to a special Black History Celebration at St. John’s Episcopal Church in downtown Roanoke.
“As we commemorate our 60th anniversary throughout 2025, TAP is honored to once again host this free event, bringing our community together to celebrate the rich history of Black Americans both nationally and locally,” shared Angela Penn, President & CEO of TAP. “This celebration provides an opportunity to reflect on the past, recognize present achievements, and envision the future contributions of leaders and organizations that have positively impacted the Roanoke Valley.”
The event will include a complimentary lunch, as well as entertainment and speakers. Organizers said space will be limited and recommend anyone interested to register in advance.
