BEDFORD, Va. (WFXR) – Fire departments in Bedford responded to a structure fire at Breezy Hill Road.
The fire was reported at 7:35 a.m. when Company 1 was dispatched along with Company 19 to Breezy Hill Road. Heavy black smoke was reported by Engine 131 and three tankers were requested to the location.
Rescue 1 arrived and established a Rapid Intervention Team on the front side of the structure.
Fire officials said the back of the structure then collapsed. Crews from Rescue 1 assisted in opening the structure and working on the flames.
The fire was able to be contained, and no injuries were reported.
Crews on the scene included Company 13, Company 8, Company 1, Company 9, and Bedford County Fire and Rescue.
Bedford County Fire and Rescue are investigating the cause of the fire.
