SOUTH BOSTON, Va. (WFXR) – The South Boston Police Department has identified a suspect wanted for felony grand larceny in connection to a shoplifting incident that occurred at the Food Lion in Riverdale Plaza on December 28.
Police said that just after 2 p.m. on Saturday, Mitchell Gene Talley of Henderson of NC and two other unidentified male suspects allegedly fled from Food Lion employees in the parking lot with several shopping carts full of merchandise.

Talley and the other men allegedly drove off in a black Ford Focus SE with NC license plate “RJS-3440”, heading southbound on Huell Matthews Highway.
Talley is now wanted for Felony Grand Larceny by the South Boston Police Department. All three men should be considered armed and dangerous, police said. If seen, call 9-1-1 immediately.
Police believed all three men live in and travel throughout Vance County/Henderson NC and Southside VA and the other two suspects frequently accompany Talley. They may be driving either a black 2001 Ford Focus or a gold 2003 Honda Odyssey van, both with NC license plate “RJS-3440.”
