Roanoke FD responded to fire on Jamison Avenue, one evaluated for injuries


ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) – Roanoke Fire and EMS responded to a possible structure fire at the block of Jamison Avenue SE on November 18.

Roanoke Fire and EMS were alerted about the possible structure fire at the 100 block of Jamison Avenue SE around 7:39 a.m. on Monday morning.

Battalion Chief 1 arrived on the scene to find smoke coming from the second floor. Engine 6 C- Shift arrived on the scene and quickly extinguished the fire. The fire was under control around 8:00 a.m.

One person is reported to have been evaluated for injuries.

The Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
