Roanoke County celebrates new Fire & Rescue station with ribbon cutting



ROANOKE COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) – Roanoke County is hosting a ribbon cutting to celebrate the opening of the new Bonsack Fire and Rescue Station.

The ribbon cutting will be on Tuesday, January 14 at 10 a.m. located at 1465 Mexico Way NE, Roanoke, Va.

In February of 2022, Roanoke County finalized a sale of 2.25 acres located from Parkway Church on the Mountain in the City of Roanoke. On the lot, a 12,500 square foot and $8 million Fire and Rescue station will sit to serve the eat Roanoke County communities.

Attendees will be directed to parking and shuttle busses will transport to and from the event.
