Presbyterian Community Center temporarily closes, plans to reopen



ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) – The Presbyterian Community Center (PCC) will be temporarily closed from Thursday, January 9 through January 10.

The closure of the Emergency Services and Pathways for Youth will take place due to unsafe parking and walking conditions.

PCC will partner will Belmont Presbyterian Church as they open their door on Friday, January 10 at 9 a.m.

For those in need, the PCC will provide emergency and warming bags while supplies last which will include hats, gloves, and thermal supplies.

“We’re grateful to Belmont Presbyterian for stepping up as a warming shelter and to Second Presbyterian Church’s Mountain Ave. Fund for their generous support of funding to supply these resources,” said Nicole Jennings, Executive Director.

The PCC will plan to reopen next week pending the weather forecast.
