Pinpoint Weather: Warmer weekend on the way


ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — A cold night is on the way with a Cold Weather Advisory in effect for western Greenbrier and Pocahontas Counties. The wind chill will drop to near -10 at the higher elevations.

High pressure will build into the region on Saturday and warmer conditions will return as sunshine is expected.

Temperatures will start chilly, in the single digits and teens, before rising into the 30s and 40s during the afternoon.

Slightly breezy conditions are expected both Saturday and Sunday but the wind will bring warmer air into the region.

Temperatures will remain in the 40s through Monday before rising into the 50s Tuesday and Wednesday. Another cool down arrives on Thursday, dropping temperatures back into the 40s.
