Pinpoint Weather: Tuesday remains warm


ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — A cold front will pass through the region on Tuesday. The main impacts will be an increase in winds and cloud cover, especially during the morning hours. A few showers are possible along the western slopes of the mountains.

Temperatures will remain well above average on Tuesday. Low temperatures in the 40s will likely happen around 2 or 3 a.m. before slowly rising the remainder of the night. Temperatures will rise into the 50s in the Highlands and New River Valley, with 60s expected for the remainder of the region.

Rain chances will increase Wednesday and Thursday. Less rainfall in Southside with higher amounts in the Highlands and western mountains.

Temperatures will be up and down this weekend with highs in the 60s on Tuesday, but only in the 40s on Wednesday. Temperatures will return to the 60s Thursday and Friday. For the weekend, temperatures will top out in the 50s and 60s before returning to the 40s on Monday.
