ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — A Cold Weather Advisory is in effect for portions of Greenbrier, Highland and Pocahontas Counties overnight as the wind chill could drop to -10.

Elsewhere, temperatures will not be as cold overnight, though single digits and teens are expected. Thursday will be a warmer day as temperatures for most rise into the 30s.
Clouds will begin to move into the region on Thursday ahead of a weak cold front that slides through Thursday night. Most of the region will stay dry.
The one exception is the western mountains where up to an inch of snow is possible.

Temperatures on Friday will be slightly cooler with highs in the 30s. Warmer air returns for the weekend and first half of next week as temperatures return to the 40s. Parts of the region may see highs in the 50s on Wednesday.
