Pinpoint Weather: Snow ends Saturday, still windy


ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — Winter Storm Warnings and Winter Weather Advisories continue for the Highlands and Mountain Empire, with a Blizzard Warning for western Pocahontas County.

Snow will wind down during the first half of the day on Saturday, with mostly cloudy conditions continuing.

With the storm system still in the region, windy conditions are expected to continue. A Wind Advisory is in effect through 6 a.m. Saturday for areas along and west of the Blue Ridge.

Gusty winds are expected to continue through the day on Saturday, gradually decreasing through the day. Winds become much calmer Saturday night into Sunday.

Temperatures will get a little warmer on Saturday with highs in the 40s and 50s for much of the region.

Temperatures will return to the 60s on Sunday and Monday before dropping into the 50s again on Tuesday. There is a small potential for showers on Tuesday and Thursday, with a slightly better chance on Friday.
