ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — Rain will return to the region on Wednesday. A few showers are possible in the morning with better chances during the afternoon and evening. A few rumbles of thunder are possible as well.
For most, the rain will be light. Southside will see the least with up to a tenth of an inch possible. The West Virginia border counties will likely see the most with around half an inch expected.
Temperatures will remain warm on Wednesday ahead of the cold front. Temperatures will start the day in the 40s, rising into the 50s and 60s during the afternoon.
Temperatures will trend down starting on Thursday with highs near 50. Temperatures will drop into the 40s starting on Friday and the 30s starting on Sunday. Overnight lows will dip into the 20s and 30s.
