ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — Flood Warnings continue across the New River Valley, Roanoke Valley, Central Virginia and Highlands into Saturday evening.

Rainfall estimates between one and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen since early Saturday morning with up to 1.5 additional inches expected in some areas through Sunday afternoon.

Winter weather advisories continue through 7 p.m. Saturday. Light freezing rain remains possible, mainly at the higher elevations along the Blue Ridge. Temperatures will rise during the evening and overnight hours.

Behind a cold front on Sunday, winds will increase across the region. A Wind Advisory is in effect from noon on Sunday through 4 p.m. on Monday.
