ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — A front will move away from Southwest and Central Virginia on Friday. While mostly dry weather is anticipated for the next couple of days, scattered showers are possible for the end of the weekend.
A few stray showers cannot be ruled out for Friday. Otherwise, decreasing cloudiness is in the forecast with breezy winds blowing through. It won’t be as warm outside with afternoon highs in the 70s.
It will be a mostly dry start to the weekend. Saturday will start with morning temperatures in the upper 30s and 40s. Afternoon highs will be in the seasonably cool lower/middle 60s. Mostly sunny skies will gradually become mostly cloudy late in the day.
A cold front will approach the Mid-Atlantic on Sunday and Monday, bringing scattered rain showers to Southwest and Central Virginia. Rainfall amounts may range from 0.25″ to 0.75″. Sunday will be cloudy and cooler with highs in the 50s.
Much of the rain will end Monday morning. It will be slightly milder with afternoon temperatures in the 60s and lower 70s.
Tuesday through Thursday, high temperatures will generally be in the 60s. While Tuesday will be mostly sunny, clouds will increase on Wednesday. Scattered showers are possible for Thursday.
