ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect for the western slopes of the mountains through 1 p.m. Saturday.

One to four inches of snow is expected. Eastward, flurries to a dusting is possible to the Blue Ridge, but rain is mainly expected as temperatures will remain above freezing.

Rainfall will end for most this evening with snow continuing into the west through midday on Saturday.
Rainfall will be light with those seeing rain picking up less than a tenth of an inch.

Temperatures will be cooler on Saturday with highs in the 30s and 40s during the afternoon.
Gusty winds are expected through the day on Saturday with wind speeds decreasing Saturday night into Sunday. The wind will push colder air into the region with highs Sunday in the 30s. Temperatures rebound into the 40s on Monday and 50s starting Tuesday. A daily chance for showers returns on Tuesday.
