Patrick Henry High School lockdown lifted after police presence



ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) – Patrick Henry High School was on lockdown on Tuesday, December 10 due to police activity on Avenel Avenue.

The school was placed under lockdown after reports of shots fired and police activity.

The school changed from lockdown to shelter-in-place meaning buses can arrive on campus and law enforcement will continue to monitor the area.

Classes have currently returned to normal, however, until the situation is resolved, police will remain in the area.
