Motorcyclist killed during crash on US 501 identified by Lynchburg Police



UPDATE 2/4 4:05 P.M. LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) – Lynchburg Police have released the identity of the motorcyclist killed during the crash on US 501 on Sunday, February 2.

According to LPD, 37-year-old Theodore Edward Dow of Bedford died from his injuries.

“Our condolences go out to his family during this difficult time.” The Lynchburg Police Department.

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) – The Lynchburg Police Department (LPD) is investigating a fatal single-vehicle accident that occurred on Sunday on U.S. 501 South near the Wards Road exit involving a motorcycle.

On February 2, around 5:21 a.m., the LPD and Lynchburg Fire Department responded to the crash and found the rider alone with no passengers. He died due to his injuries.

The crash remains under investigation by the LPD.
