Lynchburg Public Library hosts Santa meet-and-greet featuring a special guest



LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) – The Lynchburg Public Library will host a meet-and-greet with Santa and a special guest.

On Monday, December 16, the Main Branch of the Library from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at 2315 Memorial Avenue will host a meet-and-greet with Santa in the Youth Services Department.

Santa’s special guest will be Mayor Stephanie Reed also known as “Mayor Elf” to help spread holiday cheer at the event.

Families are to join Santa and Mayor Elf for photo opportunities and are encouraged to bring their cameras or phones.

There will be free children’s books and candy canes while the supply lasts. Families can also visit the activity room to make a special craft.

Other holiday events at the library include:

• Wednesday, December 18, 10:30 a.m., Winter PJ Storytime and Craft (Main Branch)
• Saturday, December 21, 10:30 a.m., Gingerbread Man Storytime (Downtown Branch, 216 12th Street)
• Saturday, December 21, 11:00 a.m., Gingerbread House Building Challenge (Main Branch)
