LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) – Police in Lynchburg are investigating an incident that may have resulted in someone being shot on January 9.
Details are limited; however, on Thursday afternoon dispatchers received a call that shots were fired on Hillcrest Avenue near Morgan Street. Investigators said someone may have been injured during the shooting.

Police said bullet casings were found at the scene and there were reports of a person arriving at Lynchburg General Hospital with possible gunshot wounds.

However, currently, there is no evidence the two incidents are connected.
