Lynchburg announces two month lane installation project



LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) – The City of Lynchburg has announced a temporary Lane closure to accommodate Shentel crews for almost two months for lane installations.

The temporary closure will start on Monday, December 16, and will continue through Friday, February 14 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. seven days a week, except holidays and with permitting weather.

The closure will be on part of Old Graves Mill Road from 126 Old Graves Mill Road to the entrance of Stonegate Villas. Shentel crews will be performing aerial, trenching, and directional drilling work for lane installations.

Motorists should expect minor delays and drive with caution during the work zone. There may be lane changes in traffic patterns and motorists should obey temporary signage.
