LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) – The Lynchburg Police Department (LPD) is investigating a home invasion and shots incident that occurred on Eldon Street on January 12.
LPD said that around 6:21 p.m. on Sunday, officers responded to the 400 block of Eldon Street. After arriving on the scene, it was learned that two suspects allegedly entered the home through an unlocked door and demanded money.
Both suspects were allegedly wearing masks and armed. When they fled the property, they allegedly fired shots into the air, police said.
During the incident, a purse was stolen but was later recovered by officers.
There were no injuries reported at the time.
The incident remains under investigation.
