LPD responds to Sandusky Middle School after threat of student carrying firearm



LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) – Lynchburg Police are investigating a possible threat at a middle school in Lynchburg on February 3.

According to LPD, reports of a student in possession of a gun at Sandusky Middle School were received around 9:57 a.m. on Monday.

The school was then placed into a lockdown as a safety measure.

Officers arrived at the scene and detained the student and other individuals believed to be involved.

No shots were fired and no injuries have been reported. Police said no threats have been found on the premises and students and staff are safe.
