LPD charged juvenile with murder of 16-year-old after Hillcrest Avenue shooting



LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) – Lynchburg Police have made an arrest after the Hillcrest Avenue shooting that led to the death of a 16-year-old on Thursday, January 9.

LPD said a juvenile male was taken into custody on Friday, January 10, and is currently being held at the Lynchburg Regional Juvenile Detention Center.

He is charged with the following:

  • Felony Murder
  • Aggravated Malicious Wounding
  • Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony
  • Concealing or Compounding offenses
  • Shooting at an Occupied Vehicle
  • Shooting from an Occupied Vehicle
  • Receiving a Stolen Firearm
  • Possession of a Firearm Under 21
