LPD asking residents for feedback on performance & general feelings of safety

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) – The Lynchburg Police Department is asking the public to participate in a community survey to help gain an understanding of how people view their performance and whether people generally feel safe in the city.

The survey released online on Monday, December 2, will be open until December 31. LPD said they are looking for feedback from residents and visitors regarding performance and overall perception of safety.

The city is encouraging people to give their input on topics including their interactions with Lynchburg Police officers and staff, community engagement efforts, and safety concerns.

LPD said the results will be shared in a community report sometime in early 2025.

“Your Lynchburg Police Department strives to partner with and protect our community through meaningful relationships and intelligence-led enforcement strategies. This survey is important for us to understand our progress in continuing to help make Lynchburg the exceptional place it is.” – Chief Ryan Zuidema
