Local officials and the CDC advise residents of the importance of sleep


ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) – The Roanoke City and Alleghany County Health Districts are advising the community on the importance of sleep.

Proper sleep and exercise are important for overall health and well-being as the CDC has linked bad sleeping habits to health issues, obesity, diabetes, and mental health concerns.

Make sure to pay attention to your sleeping habits to ensure you get proper sleep each night.

According to the CDC, up to 38.8% of adults in Virginia are not getting enough sleep.
