Law enforcement makes over 70 arrests during joint operation in NW Roanoke



RONAOKE, Va. (WFXR) – The Roanoke Police Department has announced a two-day joint operation with the US Marshals Service in NW Roanoke has resulted in over 70 arrests and eight protective orders being served.

On December 3 and 4, RPD and USMS conducted a warrant search operation that targeted fugitives in the City of Roanoke. While serving the warrants, 79 arrests were made, including 46 on pick-up warrants, and 33 for permitted warrants.

Additionally, eight emergency protective orders were served.

The joint operation also included the Virginia State Police, the Star City Drug and Violent Crime Task Force, Botetourt County Sheriff’s Office, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Bedford Police Department, and the Roanoke City Sheriff’s Office.
