HALIFAX COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) – The Halifax County Sheriff is looking for an armed man after a robbery at a convenience store in Halifax County on January 9.

The sheriff said around 9:15 p.m. on Thursday, law enforcement officers with the HCSO, the Halifax Police Department, and the South Boston Police Department responded to the Spirit convenience store in Centerville.

At the scene, the clerk on duty told deputies that a man entered the store and allegedly demanded money from the register at gunpoint. The man then quickly fled the scene. There have been no injuries reported, according to the sheriff.

Investigators are asking the public for assistance with identifying the man in the images and videos shown here. If you have any information regarding the incident, please call Sergeant J.M. A $1000 reward is being offered by Crime Stoppers for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the assailant.
