DANVILLE, Va. (WFXR) – God’s Pit Crew is hosting toy drive events as a part of the Holiday Relief Mission for families and children impacted by Hurricane Helene.
Most families are still struggling after losing everything in the tragic storm that hit the East Coast at the end of September.
The toy drives will be held throughout December to allow children to select Christmas Toys as a way to provide hope after the devastation families after experienced for more than a month.
God’s Pit Crews will fill two tractor-trailers with Christmas toys and gifts as a part of the Holiday Relief Mission to drive around several mountain communities in North Carolina.
Monetary donations to the relief mission will go towards the ministry’s ‘big, red trucks’ with toys for children in the Western North Carolina regions.
“Holiday Relief Mission will be a powerful way to come together and serve others in need – providing hope and love when it has seemed so distant over the past month,” shared God’s Pit Crew President Randy Johnson. “We pray to help as many people impacted by Helene as possible, and we rely on the donors and volunteers who act as the main heartbeats of the ministry to keep fueling us forward.”
Monetary donations will be accepted for the Holiday Relief Mission through December 3 allowing crews to have time to gather and load toys and distribute them.
If you are interested in donating to the Holiday Relief Missions Toy Drive, visit GodsPitCrew.org. Donations will also allow God’s Pit Crew to efficiently gather toys and drive them to affected areas.
God’s Pit Crew will also be sending the Immediate Disaster Response team to Asheville, North Carolina from Sunday, November 17 through Saturday, December 7. Crews will assist communities with flood cleanup, mold remediation, structure demolition, and debris removal.
