LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) – Political candidate Gloria Tinsley Witt for 5th District Congressional Candidate released a statement as the race ended for the House of Representatives.
“I am deeply proud of everything we’ve accomplished together. We fought with heart, integrity, and purpose. We’ve built something real, something meaningful, and that’s because of each and every one of you.
To my team, we always said that we “do a lot with a little bit”. The proof is in the numbers, we spent a fraction of what previous campaigns have and outperformed some of them. You are each the gold standard of efficiency and skill.
To my family, friends, supporters, and everyone who joined us on this journey: thank you. Thank you for your time, your energy, and your passion. Thousands of you have knocked on doors, made calls, sent postcards, contributed, and shared our vision with the people of Virginia’s 5th District. Together, we sparked conversations in every corner of this district, from the cities to the countryside.
Though we fell short, our work doesn’t end here. The issues we raised—the need for affordable healthcare, stronger schools, support for working families, and the protection of our rights—remain just as vital as ever.
To everyone who supported me, I ask you to stay engaged, to keep pushing, to keep believing that together, we can make a difference. This campaign may be ending, but our fight for justice, for opportunity, and for a fair and inclusive future continues.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Let’s carry forward the spirit of this campaign, with hope, courage, and unwavering commitment to our shared values. Thank you all.“
