Garage fire in Salem damages two vehicles


SALEM, Va. (WFXR) – Salem Fire and EMS responded to a house fire on Tuesday, November 19.

Salem Fire and EMS responded to Inge Circle around 9:38 p.m. and arrived approximately 4 minutes after the call. On the scene, Engine 3 found heavy smoke and fire from the detached garage, with two vehicles inside.

Two lines were needed to battle the blaze with around 18 personnel from Salem Fire and EMS responded including Truck 1, Engine 2, Engine 3, Rescue 801, Medic 803, Battalion 1 & Fire Medic 1.

Crews tamed the flames and extinguished the fire within 10 minutes.

There were no reported injuries, however, both vehicles in the garage sustained major damage.
